Day 1: Campbell River to Cortez
Meet the yacht at Campbell River, B.C. which is easily accessible by float plane or car and ferry
from Seattle. Enjoy exploring this important destination which calls itself the "Salmon Capital of the World." If
you think that you are interested in salmon fishing during your trip, ask the captain to assist you in getting your
Canadian Fishing License.
Enjoy walking the promenade along Discovery Harbour Marina. After lunch, the yacht will leave for Cortez Island.
Day 2: Cortez Island
Spend the day enjoying beautiful Cortez Island. There are hiking paths and read the book onboard Olympus
called "Destination Cortez Island" to get an understanding of what this island was like in the early 1930's.
Day 3: Malaspina Inlet
The yacht will head for Malaspina Inlet, which is part of beautiful Desolation Sound Marine Park.
As one of the most sought after boating destinations in the Pacific Northwest, Desolation Sound is known by many
boaters as heaven on earth.
The water is warm, up to 75 degrees in the summer months, and you will
enjoy exploring and swimming in majestic coves. Mountains jut up from the shoreline, and
as the sun sets on the anchorage, you will be amazed at the quiet solitude.
Day 4: Prideaux Haven
A delightful maze of small inlands, coves and inlets is well known for oysters and clams. Enjoy a picnic
lunch on the shore, more swimming, sunning and just plain relaxing.

Day 5: Walsh Cove
Heading north just ten miles, the yacht will anchor and you can head out aboard the Boston
Whaler for fishing, crabbing, collecting oysters and looking for First Nations Indian pictographs
on the rock walls of the cove.
Day 6: Dent Island
Arrive at outstanding Dent Island Lodge near Stuart Island, B.C. This beautiful lodge is owned
by the Nordstrom family and was designed for their private use, however the large dock
takes limited visiting boaters every summer.
The Olympus is one of their favorite
visitors as they love the classic beauty of the yacht on their dock. Enjoy the view from the
hot tub which overlooks a canoe pass rapid, where the rapid 10-12 knot current races by at
times looking like a raging river, and at other times looking slow and calm.
The fishing
here is superb, and you may wish to arrange an afternoon or early morning fishing trip.
Day 7: Departure from Dent Island
You can depart from Dent Island via Kenmore Air for your return to Seattle.
As you leave
the yacht talk to the captain about your next trip on the Olympus and see if you can arrange to join us on one of our Alaska trips.
